Do the Beats Solo 3’s support Dolby Atmos on Apple TV 4K? If so, how do I ensure it’s on?

Hello! I have been grappling with ways on how to view content in Dolby Atmos at home. The best case scenario would’ve to just use my AirPods Pro and be done with it, but they have a rattling bass problem, so they have been excluded.

I am now trying to figure out whether or not the Beats Solo 3’s support Dolby Atmos on the Apple TV 4K. I am about 95% sure that the Sony WH-1000XM4’s do not support Dolby Atmos (i’d preferred if someone confirmed that) but now my biggest concern is finding out if the Beats Solo 3’s do. I’d appreciate anyone able to answer this question—as well as how to ensure it’s on. Thank you!

Ensuring that the Beats Solo 3’s support it was critical. I’m fine with it not having head-tracking. Thank you!

Apple TV will show if it is available. Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio will show as an option in Apple TV Control Center’s headphones section. Beats Solo 3 does not support head tracking, though — moving your head won’t change the sound ‘direction’, unlike modern AirPods.

I don’t see this option when going to my headphones. For reference I am playing a movie on Apple TV+ that supports Dolby Atmos (Blade Runner) — nothing shows up.

For video or music content?

Besides headphones, there’s also Dolby Atmos soundbars and Dolby Atmos AV receivers. Set up Dolby Atmos on Apple TV with a soundbar or AV receiver - Apple Support

Not directly connected to Apple TV, anyway. Paired bluetooth headphones will get stereo if they’re not on Apple’s Atmos compatibility list. Connecting to other devices (e.g. Sony TV or Sony audio system), wired or wireless, might give different capabilities. But I’m not familiar with that model headphone.

Apple says: Any Apple or Beats Bluetooth headphone that is Dolby Atmos compatible, is suitable for listening to Dolby Atmos on your Apple TV 4K. About Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos in Apple Music - Apple Support

I’m not seeing listed that this movie has Dolby Atmos from your source. ‘Only’ Dolby Vision. Not sure if the “temporarily free with Apple TV+” content is somehow limited in audio. Weird; I thought this title should have both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. ⁉️
