Mac will not import last few songs from CDs into iTunes.

Mac will not import last few songs from CDs into iTunes. I have Apple's latest external DVD drive but recently the last few songs on CDs (new or old) won't import. The disc ejects with the final tracks not imported and one track only part imported. I have tried importing with other software but with the same result. Any ideas or help out there? :-)
