Multiple Apple ID sign in requests

My husband has a new ipad. We are signed into it with his Apple Id. It keeps asking for my apple id password. His old ipad was once mine so something has crossed over. It keeps asking for my password. I am trying to go in and delete apps but it will not let me do anything without putting inn my password. That was the purpose of buying him a new one so my stuff wasn't on there at all. I do not want them crossed. Can you tell me how to fix this. Right now his new ipad is unusable without me putting in my password.

There's probably apps on there that were downloaded using your ID. They want to update and need your information to do so. Have him delete the apps and download them with his ID.
