I just bought iphone 15pro 2 days ago. Today just finish setying up my phone, but eventually the screen felt hot. The screen was overheating on the left side. Currently using ios 17.5.1. Apple please answer this. Need to comment using my iphone 6s cause im worried of the overheating 😭

Let’s define “overheating”. If an iPhone overheats it shuts down so it can’t be used, and displays a message saying it must cool down before it can be turned on, and it will probably be unusable for an hour or so. If you are seeing this it is a hardware problem and you should contact Apple support:

If you are not seeing this your phone has not overheated. However, if you fast charge your phone may get very warm, and may pause charging at 80% and display a message saying that charging has paused, and will resume when the phone cools down. This is NOT overheating, and is normal when fast charging. It also won’t prevent you from using any app you have on your phone.
Also, some apps that use a lot of energy or that use cellular data rather than Wi-Fi can cause the phone to run warmer.
I noticed this the last few days - today my iphone 15 pro was so hot I had to take the case off and put it in front of a small table fan - I thought it was going to catch fire. WTH is going on and how is this even a problem - it seems very dangerous.

My 15 pro started overheating recently (past 2 days) as well, with normal use. The left side of the screen gets too hot too touch. I've had to turn it off to cool off on several occasions.

iPhone 15 pro max is over heating again after software update. What Apple is doing about it
ios18 does alleviate this… though not by much. I’ve turned off a bunch of stuff recommended on various websites. It does make a difference BUT do not expect a major change.
