I have an iPhone 15 pro max purchased from the uk. I was wondering whether if adding an American esim onto this phone will allow me to download apps which are specific to USA. I have a banking app that will not allow me to download it as it comes up with “this app is not available in your country or region” due to it being a UK iPhone. Will having an American esim overcome this issue?

No, you would have to change the Region setting on your phone, which I am not necessarily suggesting that you do.....because it will affect a number of current settings on your phone.

But, to even install an eSIM from a U.S. carrier, your phone would have to first be unlocked by your U.K, carrier.
