Message on iPhone sometimes does not display sender name

Since update to iOS 17.5.1 on iPhone 13 pro max sometimes message does not display a sender name anymore, just a generic "Message" is shown in the banner that appears on the lock screen for an incoming message. Clicking on the preview brings me to the respective thread/chat (so it knows who was sending). Sometimes a reboot of the iPhone helps and proper names are displayed but eventually the generic announcement is back. Anyone having similar experiences?
