ApplePay tap using a MasterCard is getting declined on Verifone

Based on the TVR that is returned the Verifone pin pad is declining the ApplePay because the CDA fails.

I am assuming that the data on the phone that is tap is wrong. Would there be another issue?

AID: A0000000041010

TSI: 2800 TVR: 0400008001

TSI -->

Terminal risk management was performed

TVR -->

The pinpads are configured with the following TACs for MasterCard.

F45084800C CTLS TAC Default

0000000000 CTLS TAC Denial

F45084800C CTLS TAC Online

I’m going back a few years but as I recall it’s caused by offline online verification error. In other words it’s either going online when it’s supposed to be offline or vice versa.

Apple Support Community is a consumer facing discussion forum. I’m only familiar with this from retail management experience configuring POS terminals etc. I really doubt anyone will be able to answer your questions in this community.

When I had configuration issues I contacted the gateway to figure out the configuration error. Who is the merchants gateway?

The CTLS Floor Limit is $0.00 for all brands (Visa, Amex, MC, Disc, etc.)

I did not think Transaction exceeds floor limit is an issue. My understanding when it exceeds the floor limit, we should contact the bank to get approval. For successful MasterCard taps from ApplePay we get a TSI: E800 and TVR: 0000008000.

TSI:

Offline data authentication was performed

Cardholder verification was performed

Card risk management was performed

Terminal risk management was performed

TVR:

Transaction exceeds floor limit
