Red tint on screen

I opened my laptop and signed in. Colors all working fine. I look down a moment later and see a red tint on the screen. Almost like greyscale but with red. I could still see everything, but it was "redscale" if that's even a thing. I restarted my laptop, and all is well now. In fact, I just did an update. I have the M3 Macbook air 15 inch.

What happened to my screen? Should I invest in Apple Care while I still have the chance? Thanks in advance.

Macbook screen darker so my macbook has one of those green lines thats not that noticeable but when i open the screen smaller than the L shape its normal brightness but if i open it anymore than that the screen darkens and cant see as much would i need a screen replacement or?
