How to remove unresponsive Microphone symbol on iMac?

You might want to follow up with the developers of the software that's causing the problem. They may also have a forum that you can check for similar issues.

I can't be doing with software that is supposed to, but doesn't, correctly detect whether the microphone is muted (which it wasn't). What business is of keyboard software anyway?

I have chosen the zero option. The software is cleared out and the keyboard has been returned.

End of problem.

In passing, my eldest son found a link to a Reddit Logitech forum in which this problem is extensively discussed.

Happens Only in your Main Account and Not in Secondary Account

I have now tried Safe Mode, and no, it does not.

So it is logical lo look in the Login Items for the cause. This may take some time…

Also: does this thing appear if you start your mac in Safe Mode? No?
