iPhone Battery Bulging Suddenly

The battery suddenly bulgs during normal use. I've always used an original Apple charging cable and an Apple store-bought charging head, and the battery health is 78% when it is bulging. And the phone has not been dropped, nor has there been any bumps. My iPhone 13’s condition has deteriorated from occasionally shutting down unexpectedly to shutting down at around 40% battery (showing 5% upon restart), to repeatedly rebooting without any touch, and constantly overheating.

Unexpected shutdowns, bulging, and a health of 78% all point to a failing battery. It is time to get it replaced. Replacing the battery may not be possible if the bulging has damaged or deformed any of the other components of your iPhone.
