How can I erase all contents on my iPhone 12 before selling it?

I want to erase all the contents of my iPhone 12 to sell it.

Once everything is erased does it take you back to how the phoned looked when I got it with the “Hello”

screen.?

I just want to make sure everything has gone off the phone before I sell it.
