Magic keyboard is totally dead and not keying entries into my iMac.
The Mouse was going through the same but now connects. Unable to access the iMac to explore further o attempt a fix.
Any suggestions?

Get, use and keep around an inexpensive USB keyboard and mouse.
Use the USB ones to troubleshoot and/or until you can replace the Magic ones.

Thanks. 👍 Good idea already have one on order for a backup. I also thought of connecting the Magic Keyboard direct to the iMac and it worked! My iMac has now developed the frustrating habit of freezing or rebooting!
I would agree with the previous response. Try charging it for 30-60 minutes and then check.
