Apple Watch alert to warn you that you have left your iPhone

Why isn’t there a function to alert you audible that your phone out of range. You get a little red icon on the watch but that’s no good. I left my phone on a taxi right before my flight. If my watch had of buzzed if would have saved me a great deal of hassle.

Apple Watch 9 does not notify when Iphone 14 Pro is left behind A previous watch would buzz on my wrist to notify me that a previous phone was left behind - at home, in a store, etc. My current watch does not notify - I've checked the watch app, the find me app, they've checked it at the Apple Store, and I've been on a call with an Apple rep (who wasn't familiar with this option, had to read from the manual) and found no problems with either device. Any ideas to fix this would be appreciated - it's a helpful thing!

Have you read the information in the support article i linked below on being notified when items are left behind?

Set up and use Notify When Left Behind in the Find My app - Apple Support

Depending on the device and it’s age, some devices are not eligible for the service.
