Trace the number of No Caller ID

I had threat calls from No Caller ID. I did not know about the *57 or *69 options, so I called the Police Dpt immediately, now I cannot use those options. Since nothing worse than threat calls has happened so far, PD cannot do anything about it. 1) Does the cellphone provider have a record of this incoming call number? 2) When I use *69 on No Caller ID before I make another call, am I calling back the No Caller ID individual and the individual sees my call number? 3) Does *57 is the same as *69, plus it reports that information to PD? Thank you very much in advance.

This is a legal matter, which means police and acquiring legal representation. Potentially domestic violence or similar assistance, depending on the details here. (Potential assistance: CETA, domesticshelters, EFF, etc.)

Identifying the caller likely requires the carrier be presented with legal paperwork; a warrant or such.

Contact your carrier and explain the situation, and request they block all such calls.

The carrier is not sending the info (that’s what “no caller ID” means), which means there is no mechanism for the called phone other than silencing unknown callers, or (exceedingly problematic, at best) changing numbers.

To silence unknown callers: Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers > [off]
