iPhone Ringing with sound off?

I am not having this issue with my iPhone 15 Pro, but my brother who has an iPhone 15 Pro Max is. He has turned his volume all the way down, and has his phone set to vibrate with the sound on silent, but when his son calls him, the phone rings with his son's ringtone.

I have my brother set up as both an emergency contact as well as a favorite and do not have this issue. Any ideas why this is happening?

My iPhone 14, iOS 17.6.1 hasn't been ringing Good Day Folks , iPhone 14 v 17.6.1 My phone hasn't been ringing … I turned off "silence unknown callers " , but I have to wait for a call to determine if it solves the problem ? " do not disturb " is off , and the ringer is on . Additionally , haptics for ringtone is set to " never play " , is that setting related to the ringing ? I'm not exactly sure what it means other than vibration ? In settings , I checked the control center , notifications , focus , accessibility & phone . 📱 [Re-Titled By Moderator]

iPad keeps ringing even after call is answered on the iPhone My daughter’s iPad 5th generation, running the most current iOS, keeps ringing even after the call is answered on another device. This happens sometimes when not plugged in but always happens while charging. It happens with phone calls as well as FaceTime calls. She will either miss the call or answer the call on her iPhone. Either missed or answered, the iPad will continue ringing but not the normal ring. It is a rapid, abbreviated version of the correct ring. Like a scratched CD.
