Apple Pay Scan not working

I set up Apple Pay and initially worked ok. With cards added to my wallet and could pay in shops.

The last few months it stopped working and now it does not work when scanning in shops etc - says to hold near reader but does not pick it up. I have added/removed cards and restarted numerous times.


I have signed out/in of Apple ID.


still not working - although I can pay online using Apple Pay

I would contact Apple Support and ask for remote diagnostics and specifically of the NFC module to insure it’s working properly.
