Apple pay won’t connect to reader

I have a problem with my apple pay. The card pops up when i duoble click, but when i hold it near the reader nothing happens. It worked for a while, sometimes it had problems reading, but now it won’t react at all. Do you have any tips? Btw, my card is fine. It works, my phone just won’t connect to the reader

If this happens at multiple merchant locations, it indicates a hardware fault. There’s a possibility it’s the case, if you’re using one. You can remove the case and try to complete a transaction. Also the iPhone needs to be held no more than 2” (5cm) from the Tap-To-Pay connection point.

Apple can test remotely for NFC (Near Field Communication) issues. If the above steps do not resolve the issue you need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
