Can we allow certain apps to bypass the "Do Not Disturb" mode?

We can currently let certain contacts bypass the "Do Not Disturb" with emergency bypass on but can we do this with apps as well? I would like my security camera app to bypass the "Do Not Disturb" mode and notify me if someone is breaking into my home in the middle of the night. If you use such an app, then this could have serious influences on the safety and security of your home and family. I've seen this topic posted years ago with other people wondering the same thing. Any update on this?

If you have iOS 15 or later, Do Not Disturb has been replaced by Focus, which is much more flexible. It does allow you to add apps that will bypass it.

Go to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb (or whichever focus you're using). Tap on "Apps". Make sure that you have "Allow Notifications From" selected. Then add whatever apps you want to allow through.
