Recently deleted apps

For the past few weeks my iPhone has been using “recently deleted apps” on screen , when I haven’t recently downloaded anything. This shows up in settings under Battery. One day it said that It had been on screen for 5 hours when I hadn’t gotten any new apps or deleted any old apps.

It is no problem. The recently deleted apps section in your Battery settings also includes apps that have been updated. The system sees the update as first deleting the app, and then downloading the app again.

You can test it yourself by turning off Automatic Updates, then compare the results after you perform the updates manually.
