I forgot the password to my old iPhone, so I reset it myself, but it still requires the old Apple ID.

Are you seeing a screen that says "Locked to Owner" that is used by Activation Lock?

If that is the case, then there is only 2 options:

• Provide the information it is asking for. If you do not know the Apple ID Email, then this support article may provide some tips to finding it, then follow up with the link already provided to reset the password.

• Provide the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller to remove the Activation Lock.
