how to delete inaccessible gmail account from accounts on iphone

I had an email account from my previous employer that I added to my personal iPhone to sync calendars. The employer has since deleted the account, making it inaccessible.

I am unable to delete this account from my iPhone because it requires me to enter the password, which is not possible since the account no longer exists.

There is no "delete account" button available. All fields are disabled except for "re-enter password."

iPhone 6s, iOS 12

The "delete account" not being available indicates this email ID is your Apple ID.
