I have a debit card added to my wallet. Whenever I try tap to pay, my phone detects the machine and opens the wallet. When I double click side button to pay, nothing happens. My phone was near the payment machine. I also use IPhone XR and never had any problem.
Anyone else face the issue?
I am using 15pro and all apps are up to date.

The correct procedure is to first "double-click" the side which will open the wallet, then Face ID will verify then tell you "Hold Near Reader" that's when you hold your phone to the pay terminal.
The top/default card will be used unless you tap top/default card to pick another card.
