MacBook Air (M1) cracked screen and when connected to external monitor shows black screen and cursor only on the monitor

My MacBook air(M1) screen cracked and I can’t see nothing except lines on it. Connected it to external monitor via dp but it’s only showing black screen and cursor on the monitor. How do I resolve this through keyboard shortcuts because I can’t see anything on the screen

Chances are that the Mac is using the external monitor as an extended desktop, so the app windows are still opening on the internal screen, where you can't see them.

There are two things you can try.

First is Command-F1 - this should toggle between Screen Mirroring and Extended Desktop, essentially turning on mirroring. Hopefully that'll do it.

Secondly would be to close the MacBook Air's lid - this should turn off the internal screen and move everything to the external screen.
