Simplified data entry in Numbers for iPad no longer working with Logitech Folio Touch keyboard

Simplified data entry, as described here: Find out about simplified data entry in Numbers for iPhone and iPad - Apple Support (IE), is no longer working when my iPad Pro is attached to its Logitech Folio Touch keyboard. The icons for simplified data entry simply disappeared one day. It was working until recently and the icons re-appear when the keyboard is detached.

I do not know if the issue is with the iPad's OS or with the Logitech keyboard software. But it is very annoying because simplified data entry was a real time saver.

Anyone know a work around?
