Why am I not able to get my keyboard serviced in the US if I bought it in Korea using AppleCare?
I bought my iPad in Korea with an Apple pencil and keyboard case. Last year, when I got my iPad and keyboard case from Apple, I also purchased Apple Care. Now I’m living in the United States and have an issue with my keyboard. Some of my keyboards are not functioning and one of my keys popped out from the keyboard pad. So I went to the Apple store and asked about replacing this keyboard case since I have Apple care insurance.
However, they said they don’t have certain policies related to international Apple care so it is not possible for them to provide the replacement service.
I don’t think it makes sense. I searched about whether Apple Care can be applied internationally on Google and every response said it is allowed. If not, I believe there’s no reason for customers to purchase Apple Care.
So I’m wondering if I can resolve this issue with my Apple Care.
