Home sharing on my Mac mini not sharing a particular music album to my Apple TV
I have an M2 Pro Mac mini running macOS Sonoma. I also have an Apple TV 4K that is currently up to date according to the software update feature on the Apple TV. My issue is the following:
I have home sharing enabled on my M2 pro-Mac mini to share my local music library to my Apple TV 4K. While home-sharing works for most of my music library, I cannot get one particular album to share (the Beatles box set). This album is still currently being sold at the Apple Music store. I purchased the entire album using the music app on my M2 Pro Mac mini. I can listen to the entire album with no problem using the music app on my M2 Pro Mac mini. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps that I could find using a Google search, yet most of them either did not apply to my specific situation or did not solve the problem. I finally called Apple support and was told that any music purchased from the Apple Music store should be available for home sharing. My initial thought about why this particular album would not share was possibly an issue with streaming rights. Apple support told me that was not the case. unfortunately, Apple support was not able to solve my problem. I can still not share this particular music album via home sharing to my Apple TV 4K.
At this point, I've exhausted all my ideas and resources in trying to solve this problem. If it's a situation that can't be resolved, I'm prepared to accept that and move on.
