Trackpad's borders scratch the display

MacBookAir M3 15":

The part at the edge of the trackpad's perimeter scratches the display. In the video you can see some spors of dust and some lines made of tiny scratches:

Weird scratch looking line on screen, without feeling like a scratch on mac book 2021 macbook pro 14' has developed these weird scratch like lines on the screen, however the scratches don't feel like scratches, and won't clean off. One of them is so bad that is even affects the displays of the screen. Is this fixable? Sudden hairline crack on MacBook (M4) trackpad Cracked trackpad on MacBook (M4) – suddenly appeared Hello everyone, My MacBook (M4), which I purchased on September 29th, 2025, suddenly developed a hairline crack on the trackpad on December 31st, 2025. A thin, curved hairline crack is visible near the edge of the trackpad. The surface glass is completely smooth and intact, and the crack cannot be felt by touch or fingernail. The laptop is still almost new and has been used under normal conditions. There is no visible external damage, the battery health is 100%, and there are no warning or error messages. The device has not been dropped or subjected to pressure. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or does this look like a manufacturing defect? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Screen scratching issue The bottom part of my screen i.e the plastic section just below the class screen of my MacBook m2 air is continually scratching and even threatening to break off. It has just been one year of usage. What’s wrong

Hi,

I'm not sure what do you want to do with the scratches on your MacBook Air, though as far as I know, it's not covered by one year limited warranty or AppleCare.

Try to cover the screen with screen protector.

Thank you. I already ordered one this morning even before writing this post. Had I known earlier about this issue I would have bought it together with the MacBook Air.. 👋🏻
