iphone 14plus. When phone uses auto complete to sign in to previously used website, an unrecognised iCloud email addresses appear along with my regular email address's. One that came up was forward_******@icloud.com. Any advice?

You probably used Hide my Email for that site at some time in the past.
Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud/Hide my email to see.
Your phone has not been hacked, but check to see if your account may have been compromised.
Tap Settings
Tap [Your Name] at the top of the screen
Scroll down and look at the list of devices that are using your Apple ID
If you see a device that you do not recognize, change your Apple ID immediately
