My late 2017 iMac runs on Ventura 13.6.7 is hooked on a very fast WiFi and cable network. It takes for ever to complete some of the most common and simple commands (loading an app…). Is there a Utility App already loaded in the computer that can track the problem ?

There are 3 iMacs dating back to 2017
Most of there machines have either a Platter/ Rotational / Spinner drive that spins at either 5400 RPM or the higher end 7200 RPM
Some also have a Fusion Drive where Apple has been about to magically mix a SSD Drive with a Platter/ Rotational / Spinner
In any of these cases, not matter how fast the drive is spinning.
That will be the the Chock Point where the machine will be much slower that what you expect the computer will perform
All these details and much more will be revealed by using Etrecheck as suggested by @jefferythefrog or @Old Toad
