I am unable to restore Emails using Time Machine backup on my MacBook.

Restoring emails

I had to wipe Mac Notebook and reinstalling lost mails folders despite Time Machine backing up many times a day.

I have restored photos and documents which also disappeared but Library/Mail/V10 doesn’t restore just wants to save???? How can I sort this. Lost emails from past 3 years

Restoring that V10 folder and placing it in the username/Library/Mail folder should work. But if it does not work, place that V10 folder somewhere else (Desktop, for instance). Then from within Apple Mail, try to Import that entire V10 folder into Apple Mail. This should recover all the email, but they may be placed in an "Import" folder, and you may want to relabel that when it is finished.

If you are using IMAP (email stored on a server) or MS-Exchange for emails, you don't need to restore those emails that are stored on the server, those should repopulate once you resetup your mail accounts. Only emails that were locally stored on your Mac (On My Mac) need to be restored from the backup.
