Two websites Tech Radar & Android Central - unable to access - blank page with black Q

Suddenly past 5 months or so as respects Android Central and recently Tech Radar (today), click on emails I receive and blank white screen comes up with big black Q in huge font. There are small blue hyperlinks in top left of screen but lead back to same black Q. In Tech Radar was able to get to website photos, however when I clicked on links got back to black Q. I just wrote letter of feedback to Android Central but have no idea if I'll receive response. Cleared cache & history. Tried in both browsers FireFox & Chrome (no longer use Safari, had too many issues with browser). Any ideas? Thanks Charlotte Sterling (OS El Capitan 10.11.6 - unable to update futher [have already explored that option]).

Those two sites work properly on multiple Macs I use that are running Monterey (10.12.5) up through Sonoma. Your problem is most likely that your very old system (10.11.6 El Capitan) is no longer compatible with some web pages, probably due to graphics or rendering. You might continue to search for a browser that works but as time goes on this will get worse. The only real solution is to obtain a newer Mac that can run modern software. El Capitan was introduced in 2015, nearly ten years ago. It is considered "obsolete" and has not been officially supported since 2018.

You can obtain new Macs for under $1000. Used Macs are also available from Apple and reputable firms like OWC (you can also get used Macs from many unreliable sources, I would suggest either Apple, OWC, or a third party seller that maintains a shop and is an Apple Authorized Service Provider -- we have such an AASP in our neighborhood and they often sell used Macs in excellent condition for a fair price, with a warranty and they can service it themselves if need be).

Thanks to WZZZ…

Chromium Legacy, for 10.7-10.14, which runs reasonably well with all my usual extensions on the 10.13.

Only issue is no updater, so will have to be on the lookout for new releases to install manually. Can get them here
