Subscription payment for Apple TV Plus never completes

I have an account, and I want to subscribe. I have been through the procedure TWICE and both times, when I get to the payment, it never completes. I'm trying to use PayPal, which is my preference, but the payment just...doesn't happen. There's no error message or anything, it's just not completed. So when I try to sign in again, it makes me go through the whole Accept 1 Week Trial/Subscribe, and around in circles we go.


Look, if you don't want my subscription, just say so. But this is freaking ridiculous! I have several streaming services and none of them made me jump through a gazillion hoops just to sign up.

Apple subscriptions require a payment method that can be billed automatically and periodically, with a one-time up-front user approval, valid until you cancel that subscription. If your PayPal isn’t set up like that, then it wouldn’t be useful for Apple subscriptions.
