Upgraded my iPhone 8 to a 15pro max. No matter what photo I choose for my Lock Screen the phone adds this ridiculously stupid white blur to the Lock Screen that makes it impossible to see the top bar and battery life, If anyone knows how to make the phone stop the white blur I’d greatly appreciate the “how to”. Thank you.

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 16
Save the lock screen photo you use as Wallpaper and when you apply it, don't resize it.
To do so, open the Photo app
Choose the photo
Tap Edit
Look for the box in a box at the top right hand side of the edit options
Tap that and options will appear
Choose Wallpaper and then done
Try to choose that version as your Lock Screen Wallpaper

if it is not working as expected, I would return it for one that works as expected new out of the box...

Go to Settings > Battery, then turn on Battery Percentage.
