Setup for kid’s iPhone

I am currently setting up my child’s new iPhone but it will not let me past the update restriction due to them being underage

I'm unable to setup Apple ID for my kid's new iPhone “Set restrictions" I’m trying to set up a new phone for my child. I have added it to my family using my Apple ID. It’s asking me to set restrictions on his phone for certain content but it won’t let me go beyond this page no matter what I do. How do I update my Apple ID to adult status and remove parental controls after turning 18? I turned 18 a month ago but my Apple ID is still treated as a child in Family Sharing and Screen Time is still controlled by the organizer. Please update my account to adult status. so i can get rid of parental controls the leaving family sharing is turned off by my dad so i can’t even do that i have an iphone 14 ios 26 it’s updated [Re-Titled by Moderator] Original Title: parental controls family sharing

you can create a child sub account with family sharing. Create an Apple ID for your child - Apple Support
