How do I get itunes to stop saving a jpeg or other visual images when I play something?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

macOS 12 Monterey doesn’t have the iTunes application. For music, it uses the Music app.

The Music app has an on|off setting to retrieve/update album art automatically for imported music tracks.
