Side button not working to Double tap to turn on assistive touch payments

Side button is broken and im trying to turn on assistive touch payment so it doesn't make me use the side button, but its making me double tap the side button to turn it on? is there a workaround?

My side button doesn’t work and I can’t use my Apple Pay One side of my screen is popping out on my iPhone 12 ( I know it’s bad I’m currently saving for a new one) which has caused my side button/lock button to stop working so I’m unable to use Apple Pay. with this I’m also unable to turn off the feature to use double tap because I have to double tap to turn it off. Can anyone help with any advise please and thankyou. :)
