Share "My Location" from Apple Watch instead of iPad or iPhone

We recently bought Apple Watch SE's for our kids and set them up though family setup. I would like to adjust the settings so that when I go to the "Find My" app and click on the "People" tab at the bottom, the location being shared is from their respective Apple watches, not from their iPads. I cannot figure out how to make this change.

Two of the three kids' accounts currently say they are sharing the location based on their Apple watch (and give the option to change that to their iPad). One account says is sharing the location from her iPad (and doesn't give the option to change that to their watch). See images below.

Any suggestions on how to make this change?
