Water damage, is usually fatal and cannot be repaired. You can try to let the phone dry and most definitely do NOT try to charge it in its current condition. It should be powered off, if possible and left in a dry place to dry for a couple days. DO NOT put it in RICE. That can cause more damage. If after a couple of days, it doesn't power on, the phone is a total loss and will need to be replaced. Apple will never attempt to repair a water damaged iPhone.

If you see a notification pop up saying water detected, do not charge the device, have it sit and dry out for a while, or speed up the process by drying it out using other methods, had the same once, fixed after a couple hours, if you don’t get a notification your charging port might be damaged, have an authorized retailer inspect and/ or repair
Contact Apple or an authorized dealer to have the unit repaired or replaced.
