the internet connection is fine and my MacBook gets connected; however, the internet is still not working. Could anyone help with this?

If you have any add-on VPN apps, add-on security apps, add-on anti-malware apps, add-on cleaner apps, or similar, remove those per the vendors’ instructions, restart, and try again.
Reboot your Wi-Fi router. Occasionally, routers fail to connect to a particular device even if the other devices connected work.
