How to add a font to the Apple Pages on the iPad

I want to use a free font, Playwrite by TypeTogether, which is a handwriting font for schools, but I can't find out how to get the font to show up in Apple Pages on the iPad. There's an official support document by Apple saying:

Install and manage fonts on iPad

You can download fonts from the App Store app and use them in documents you create on iPad.

  1. After you download an app containing fonts from the App Store, open the app to install the fonts.

Which means Apple says that you need to download any random App from the App Store and hope that there's fonts inside, or that the App can help download and install fonts.

Is installing a THIRD PARTY APP the only way to add fonts in Apple Pages for the iPad?
