Why is my Apple ID different when I try to update my apps?

Trying to update apps but it keeps saying I have a different Apple ID

If the app was purchased using a different account you need to sign in with that account do update that app. If you cannot do that, delete the app and download it with the account you are using now.


It is also possible you used a different account specifically for media, subscriptions, and purchases:

In iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings > [your Apple ID] > Media & Purchases. Sign out of the current ID and sign in with a different one.
