I was browsing videos on my iPhone with facebook and a message popped up that I was being hacked. What should I do besides shut off the phone.

I have a new iPhone with latest software and I was on facebook browsing pet videos and upon clicking one, it said that I was being hacked. What should I do. I already shut off the phone and I have access to iCloud. Should I reimagine the phone and then use the backup to reinstall?

All such messages are scams presented by criminals. Close the offending page and do not interact with the message. Your phone has not been hacked, thus no further steps are required.
