iPhone not receiving information in calendar from iMac during sync

iMac running ventura 13.2.1

iPhone XR running iOS 17.5.1

I do not use iCloud. I have been syncing my iMac calendar to my iPhone calendar for years with no problem. I do this in finder with a wired connection. I have also tried using Music and no luck.

I only sync calendar, I do not sync any other information (music, movies etc). My iMac goes through the motions and actually says it is syncing calendars but then the information does not appear on my iPhone. I have updated my iphone iOS recently and it has stopped working since then.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I managed to 'fix' this problem by very simply swapping the USB connector to a different port on the back of my iMac. Suddenly the information is transferring to my phone, this makes no sense to me, but it worked.

Hey there, any reason for not upgrading to macOS Ventura 13.6.7? It might fix the issue you are having.

I have tried everything I can find online. Restarting both iPhone and iMac and refreshing calendar in iPhone. I have also tried clicking 'info' and Advanced: Replace information on this device and clicking 'replace calendar on this device' and that also does not work.
