LastPass on iOS 17 - Autofill still broken or re:broken
It’s been reported on here since iOS 17 in 2023 that LastPass’s autofill function is broken when populating app passwords. In particular, when it’s necessary to select LastPass in the autofill options & not use an already present favourite password.
When LastPass is selected during the autofill process, it triggers a process that results in a ‘white empty box’ appearing on screen. Had the process worked correctly, the box would instead be filled with your own LastPass password listings & password recommendations based on the readily available information.
Previous users believed this “fault” was occurring as a consequence of Keychain being called up during the autofill process. And here’s the problem, keychain isn’t correctly interfacing with LastPass and allowing the autofill process to be completed by LastPass. It’s as though it determines you don’t want to use keychain passwords (at least this was the inference I got from the previous support listing)/
As for my case, I actually prefer to have both LastPass and Keychain active. So it’s meant to bring up a choice option first, whereby I select which library I wish to search for the password.
But instead I’m presented with a white box & no access to either LastPass or Keychain :(
Seriously, it’s kind of infuriating how long it takes for bugs like this to be fixed.
And please no replies suggesting I turn my ipad on & off. For goodness sake, as though people don’t try these things before coming here. In actual fact I’ve done a complete software reset & re-install.
So hurry up Apple software engineers, please fix this asap.
