Can someone suggest a good malware program to use on my new MacBook Air running Sonoma?

Can someone suggest a good malware program to use on my new MacBook Air running Sonoma? I have used Malwarebytes on my old iMac with no problems but when I put it on my MacBook and upgraded to Malwarebytes Plus my icons froze, and I. couldn't open any of my favorites or do locals searches. I don't know if the problems were caused by the VPN or something else. I couldn't get help from Malwarebytes. All I could get for help was AIchatbot and that was useless. I removed the Malwarebytes from my Mac and now it works perfectly. Does anyone know of another program that is good and is safe to use?

Thank you

..ShirleyfromDover..

Perhaps rather than look outside of Apple's macOS security update

path for an internal preventative measure, see what has evolved in

the past few weeks from Apple itself..

This article also has other similar yet different links near end of the

•About background updates in macOS - Apple Support (Read!)

"Your Mac automatically installs Rapid Security Responses, Security

-Configuration updates, and System Data files, in the background."

And avoid all outside apps or VPNs, without studying Apple's info.

Others included may not be as important right now, as first ⇧one.

Apple OS keep evolving to keep ahead of the bad guys. or choose different path.

Some years ago, when treading the upgrade path, I chose to not

be among the early adopters... Since I could not afford Hardware.

[So that later involves using third-party web browsers; like Firefox

or Brave, among a few. These are supported for limited time..]

In any event, external 'cures' such as Malwarebytes for Mac

probably won't be as good as it once was; since the original

maker & innovator product was acquired, by brand you see.

You shouldn't need malware or anativirus software on a mac. It sounds like you are asking if a particular piece of software is behaving well or has issues. That wouldn't be identified with a malware program.

You are going to have to diagnose by running without the addons, and use a different logon name, and using safemode. There are ways to output every bit of data that the computer has, but it's not something most could read or understand. If you identify the problem, work with that vendor.
