My MacBook Pro makes a bell noise when I make a non-functional key command (like hitting Command + S) in notes. I find this very annoying. How can I turn it off?

What about disabling boop sound for entire system without disabling apps notifications sound too?

you can easily change the system alert sound to something you find less jarring, and that change will be system-wide.
settings/preferences > Sound > (sound Effects) ...
while that pane is open, you can also change the Alert Volume level.
Caution: if you completely Mute the system Alert sound, the screen will flash to get you attention. You may find this FAR more distracting than any of the boop sounds.

All system alerts are extremely annoying and there is no option to disable them (for example to Alert Sound: None), but to keep apps notifications, which is very strange.
If I turn of alert volume I start to miss important notification from other apps.
