Reset Mac but can’t pass «Find My» page?

I cannot reset my MacBook Air, because i get Error code for not remembering my password. I do not have access to my Mail either… Why is this necessary? Can someone help me?

MacBook Air So… I’ve forgotten my password to my MacBook Air … I try to reset the password by doing the recovery or password assistant going into terminal or doing network recovery too yet no matter what it keeps saying “there was an error connecting to the” when logging in with my Apple ID and password. I’ve double checked my Apple ID works by logging into it on the website and it works! Yet the MacBook won’t work?! can anyone help me?? Pleaseeee

Sounds like you have run into activation lock. You MUST use the credentials that were signed into iCloud to activate find my on the machine to proceed.
