before purchasing a new ipad -old one is from 2016 - want to be sure that ipadOS will run Flowkey piano app as it requires a operating system of 14 or more? cant get anyone at Flowkey to answer so hope someone here can

The Apple App Store entry for flowkey clearly states that iPadOS 14.0 or later is required:

According to the App Store (Compatibility section) the "flow key - Learn Piano" app will run on any iPad running iPadOS 14.0 or later.
It will also run on any iPhone running iOS 14.0 or later.
