AppleMail problem

Can anyone tell me how one of my accounts "Sent" files can show indications of something in the file but does not show anything when selected. See attached.

I checked my WebMail account and nothing shows there so it is definitely on my AppleMail App.

I tried 'Erase Deleted Items' and nothing happened.

I have also turned off the computer and it is still there after boot.

Who is your email provider? Is it iCloud? Or something else. If it's something else, delete the account and add it back.

You might also try starting your Mac in Safe Mode and seeing if you can delete it then. Note that Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool, you aren't going to be regularly working in Safe Mode (it's really slow). Once see if you can delete the files, you'll restart in normal mode.

Hope you're feeling better.

my provider is Spectrum (Road Runner before) and since EVERY one of my addresses have these ILLIGAL ADDS that would be a whole can of worms.

Alternatively, is there any way to migrate JUST MAIL from Big Sur to Sonoma on two different machines. This is an ancient issue I have been having that no one has offered a solution. I would have to go back to find all the particulars I previously posted about this but basically when I upgraded to Monterrey on my previous machine something happened that corrupted the mail app so that it was always trying to log onto ONLY GMAIL but my password, it works in browser mode, seems to be corrupted being sent to gmail. I have no idea any more but I was able to reload Big Sur and find and ancient mail app that still worked though I lost over half my saved emails.

I have no idea what that means. Are you saying that you have somehow added the accounts illegally?

You add the email account to the new device. As long as your using an IMAP account (as most modern email accounts are) everything will sync from the provider's servers to your device.

If you're having password issues with your email accounts, that's something you need to take up with your email providers.

Sorry about that. Have been under the 'weather' past few days. Here aree the screenshots appropriately.

Just to be accurate, these are two new shots taken just a few minutes ago and posted here. Pleas note that the 'Sent' file is marked as have a subfile though I did not expand it to show it is labeled 'junk'. I can delete this file but it come back the next time I open mail.

Also, please note there are three extra mailboxes on the bottom that should not be there. Trying to delete these three elicits the error message noted.

Ideas?
