Kernel Panic Error

Every time I sleep my MacBook Air m2 it restarts and I get kernel panic error. I tried running my Mac in safe mode and I even wiped my Mac and reinstalled macOS Sonoma put the issue still persist. Can someone help?

Ok, that unfortunately did not provide any extra information.


I did a little searching and stumbled across a few forum posts on other sites where this has been discussed. It seems one user discovered the issue is easily reproducible when they press keys or the trackpad as the system is being put to sleep (not sure if it includes to wake the laptop from sleep). From those multiple posts it appears only having the Display Assembly replaced (will also include a Lid Angle Sensor since they are unnecessarily paired) with a hardware repair will be necessary to fix the problem at this time. It is hard to say if a later firmware update could possibly resolve the problem.

Here is a post suggesting this issue has been around usually with the M2 MBAir that started out as a black screen issue, but now has the Kernel Panic listed in your post suggesting a change in behavior with different macOS updates. Hard to say if Apple is aware of the issue and is slowing working on a fix.
